Dimapur, Dec. 8 (EMN): The Nagaland Pradesh Kisan Congress (NPKC) organised a candlelight event in Dimapur on Tuesday, to express solidarity with farmers across the country who had called for a ‘Bharat Bandh’ to protest three farm laws recently enacted by the Centre government.

Chairman of NPKC, V Lasuh said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, democracy is under threat and danger today and the ‘Ambani government’ is going to control the country.

He expressed regret that farmers in Nagaland are not ‘registered with the central government’.

According to Lasuh, that was why they are ‘still in the dark’. He said that ’tomorrow they are going to go through the worst’.

He said that minimum surplus prices (MSP) have been removed and the Modi-government ‘is always trying to finish the downtrodden people’.
