Candidate denied entry to native village in Mkg.

Mokokchung, Feb. 7 (EMN): The last day of submission of nominations witnessed a confrontation between supporters of two candidates in Mokokchung’s 22nd Arkakong assembly constituency when an aspiring candidate from said constituency reportedly was prevented from entering his village.
Mayang Lima, an Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) candidate, reportedly was denied entry into his native Chuchuyimlang village by some youths while returning after filing his nomination papers on Wed., according to a police source.
Lima, along with his supporters, was forced to return to Mokokchung. Lima is one of the five intending candidates to have filed nomination papers to contest from the 22nd Arkakong constituency. Sitting Naga People’s Front legislator Nuklutoshi Longkumer is also from the same village. Also, sources said that a vehicle was partially damaged during the melee.
