CAN Youth distributes Smart phones

Dimapur, Feb. 4 (EMN): Project 3E Space under CAN Youth distributed Nokia C3 Smart Phone to three youth support groups (YSG) namely Yader YSG Dhansiripar, Unity YSG Chümoukedima, Darogajan village YSG and to two entrepreneurs from Bade village in Dimapur district and Punglwa village in Peren district on February 2 at Buna Café in Walford Road, Burma Camp, Dimapur.

The programme was a collaborative work of Nokia company and Better India in which top 20 entrepreneurs were selected from all over India. It stated that the Can Youth founder, Jenpu Rongmei, was among the 20 entrepreneurs who received 6 Nokia C3 Smart phones to distribute among selective local entrepreneur and youth groups working on income generation activities.

It added that the purpose of distributing smartphones was to promote their business and enterprise through technology

Albert Gangte, manager of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), Dimapur branch, handed over the Nokia C3 Smartphone to the three youth support groups and two entrepreneurs.

Speaking at the distribution programme, Albert shared on the basic principles to become a successful entrepreneur. He has advocated fostering an amicable attitude towards the customers in order to achieve success in their endeavour. He also advised not to expect big returns saying a dignity of labour is imperative to achieve success in life.

He further encouraged the CAN Youth to form more youth support groups in order to promote income generation activities among the youth for self-sustenance.
