DIMAPUR — An advocacy campaign on the ongoing nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 on the theme ‘Garbage-free India and sustainable sanitation for all’ was organised by the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Rural Division, Dimapur, at Government Higher Secondary School, Niuland, on Monday.

The students took the Swachhata pledge, which was administered by the school’s vice principal, Nikali Sumi, an update stated.

“The advocacy campaign and Swachhata pledge drive falling under the key pillar ‘Swachhata Ki Bhagidaari’, which is at the heart of the campaign, is aimed at bringing about behavioural changes among the students,” it stated.

During the campaign, district coordinator DWSM, PHED Dimapur division, Imojungla Longkumer, delivered a short talk on ‘Swachhata’ and interacted with the students on anti-litter and anti-single use plastic (SUP) initiatives and promoting sustainable alternatives to SUPs.
