Camp to provide motor aids to persons with disabilities

The Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), an undertaking of the government of India through the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, and Jaipur Foot is organizing a disability assessment camp on February 19 in the premises of Lotha Baptist Church of Dimapur. The camp will have experts who will be assessing persons with physical disabilities and offer free motor aids. The camp will commence from 9:00 am and till 3:00 pm, the organizers informed in a note issued on Tuesday. The event is being organized jointly with the Lotha Baptist Church of Dimapur. The church is located at Circular Road in Dimapur town.
“Persons with disability from birth, accidents, and old-age related cases etc. are informed to attend along with two passport size photographs, address proof and disability certificates,” the organizers informed.
The following motor aids will be provided free of cost to persons with disabilities: wheel chair, tricycle, lower artificial limb with caliber, hearing aid, Braille kits, Braille cane folding stick, auxiliary crutches, elbow crutches, rollators and MSIED, among others.
