Altogether, 21 students received the Practical Theological Diploma certificates during the ceremony. CBI Director Rev. Sukumar Chettri, in his commencement message, exhorted the graduating students to be ready for spiritual fight as they are armoured with one year Biblical study. Citing Hebrew word ‘Kairos’ which means ‘the right moment or the supreme moment,’ the spiritual leader conveyed to the students that they have to move according to the seasons as it teaches them to move forward and work for a new movement. Alluding to sacrifices made by the armies on duty at Line of Control (LoC) by devoting their time and overcoming fear to safeguard the country, he called upon the graduating students to imbibe this character in their spiritual fight and safeguard God’s people. Reminding them that they have covered 27 books during their one year course of study, he urged them to start working on spiritual purpose for which they have chosen. “Consider that your season has started and sow accordingly and you will harvest as per the labour you have committed and utilised,” persuaded Rev. Chettri. He also reminded them of the inevitable temptations, trials and persecution in their line of work. He, however, urged them to remain steadfast in their belief as apostles to win the lost souls. ‘God has prepared you in that one year and your season is at the front for you. Take the supreme moment. In the same way, God will use your gift in an inspiring way,’ he asserted. However, if you miss the ‘Kairos’ you will just be a mud living in guilt,’ he added. At the graduation ceremony, Mrs. Ruth Bharati was conferred with ‘Best student of the year award.’ CBI is a Sikkim based institute established in the year 1991 with the purpose to fulfil the great commission and to find out the lost generation from Asian country.
