DIMAPUR — Sainik School Punglwa (SSP), Nagaland, welcomed one of its own cadet, Lieutenant Tapi Moda, who returned to his alma mater as a commissioned officer of the esteemed Parachute Regiment.

Moda, an alumnus of Sainik School Punglwa, embarked on his journey towards military excellence by joining the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, through the NCC Special Entry Scheme in October 2022. The officer was commissioned on September 9, 2023, an update stated.

In a display of gratitude and inspiration, Moda on Friday delivered a motivational lecture to the current cadets of the school, urging them to consider a career in the Indian armed forces.

Drawing from his own experiences, he emphasised the values of time management, self-discipline, attitude and obedience. He also interacted with the cadets and answered to their queries on preparation and facing the SSB.

“Lieutenant Tapi Moda’s return to Sainik School Punglwa serves as a testament to the institution’s commitment to nurturing leaders of tomorrow. His achievements stand as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring cadets, showcasing the potential for growth and success through dedication and perseverance,” the update stated.
