BZ Entertainment conducts HIV awareness campaign in Peren
DIMAPUR — Basing on the success of its HIV awareness campaign in Dimapur and Kohima, BZ Entertainment, in collaboration with the Nagaland State Aids Control Society (NSACS), entered the next phase of its transformative initiative.
An update from BZ Entertainment stated that the Drama and Film Society has successfully completed a series of 10 street plays in Dimapur and Kohima district respectively and recently in Peren district making it a total of 30 shows at various locations from December 11 to the 13th.
It informed that the street plays, strategically performed at key locations, aimed at deepening the understanding of HIV transmission, prevention, testing and the urgent need to combat stigma and discrimination. It added that BZ Entertainment continues to leverage the power of creative expression to drive positive societal change and contribute to the fight against HIV.
It stated the campaign has made significant impact with performances at strategic locations such as Jalukie-B Monday bazaar, Jalukie town taxi parking, New Jalukie town, Kipeuzang bazaar, Peren town junction, Jalukie town daily ,arket, Tening SBI junction, Old Tesen Village, Samziuram Wednesday bazaar and Punglwa village marketing shed.
Report stated that BZ Entertainment’s carefully crafted street plays provided vital information on HIV and following each performance, the NSACS mobile integrated counseling and testing centre (MICTC) team offered free blood tests for HIV and counseling services. It stated that the integrated approach made the audience not only received crucial information but also had immediate access to support and guidance.
It stated that the campaign in Peren further affirmed BZ Entertainment’s commitment to creating an immersive experience for communities. As BZ Entertainment continues its journey, the Drama and Film Society remains dedicated to using creative expression as a catalyst for positive transformation, the statement read.
It further stated that the collaboration with NSACS underscored their commitment to making a lasting impact on HIV awareness in Nagaland.
