Burathoki wins 1st Mokokchung district chess championship

Dimapur, Sep. 9 (EMN):  Parkash Burathoki emerged champion while Imoten and Sentisangla were placed first and second runner-up respectively in the 1^st Mokokchung District Chess championship.

The 1^st Mokokchung District Chess championship -cum-chess coaching camp, which commenced on September 6, concluded on Friday at DEF Mokokchung unit school.

An update informed that the coaching camp-cum-championship was jointly organised by the Youth Resources & Sports department and Nagaland Chess Association (NCA) in collaboration with DEF Mokokchung.

Meanwhile, NCA also set up the Mokokchng District Chess Association (MDCA) with Lanulemba Longchar as MDCA president and Akumyanger Lemtur as general secretary.

NCA also donated 10 chess sets each to MDCA and unit school DEF, Mokokchung, it stated.
