The 25th Anniversary Cultural Day Celebration of Baptist Theological College Pfutsero was held at Pfutsero Sub-Division under Phek district on October 24 with Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Khekiho Zhimomi as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that cultural activity was one of the basic needs of students’ community and said, ‘without culture our ethnic identity will lose its essence’ as such he urged the students to preserve their identity. He extended his appreciation to principal and staff of the Baptist Theological College for producing many religious leaders and also promoting cultural activities in the institution. The programme was chaired by cultural secretary, Onentemjem Lemdor while Executive Secretary CBCC Vezopa Tetseo invoked God’s blessing. Principal BTC, Rev. Dr. Yiepetso Wezah gave a brief introduction on the formation of the college.
Former Home Minister, Thenucho Tunyi also spoke on the occasion. Special number was presented by BTC Core members and CBCC staff. The chief guest also donated a sum of rupees Ten Lakhs for the construction of College building.
