BSL-2 lab in Tuensang all set for inauguration

Kohima, Aug. 17 (EMN): The bio-safety level-2 (BSL-2) laboratory at District Hospital Tuensang is all set for inauguration on August 28 by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

An official communiqué from the minister’s press secretary informed that Phom will be accompanied by the advisor for Information and Public Relation, State Council of Education and Research and Training and Village Guard, Toshi Wungtung; and advisor for Prisons, Printing and Stationery, H Haying.

The event will be conducted following all SOPs and guidelines for Covid-19, it added.

This will be the third bio-safety laboratory to be operational in the state, after the BSL-3 at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) and BSL-2 at Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR) in Dimapur.
