Dimapur, May 8 (EMN): Border Roads Organisation (BRO) celebrated its 61st raising day at its headquarters Project Sewak in Dimapur on May 7 by organising various activities. The event was also conducted along with the “Azaadi ka Amrut Mahotsav” celebration.
After flagging-in the motorcycle expedition on May 7, the chief engineer (CE) RK Saha congratulated the team led by Capt. Sumit Dahiya for successfully carrying out the expedition within the Project Sewak areas, an update from BRO stated on Saturday.
It mentioned that the motorcycle expedition was flagged off on May 4 to create awareness on road safety measures and Covid-19.
Speaking on the occasion, Saha exhorted all the ranks to continue their work with enthusiasm and diligence. He also highlighted the importance of following Covid-19 protocols while carrying out their duties.
Conducting the programme, Col. SK Mishra, director (works), shared the details of various activities conducted to commemorate the celebrations. He also presented details of personnel who have performed various duties during the pandemic.
In appreciation to the personnel, the chief engineer also awarded them with gifts and certificates.
Report also stated that medical camps were organised across various locations in Nagaland and Manipur under the aegis of Project Sewak wherein nearby residents were given consultation and medicines were provided free of cost to all patients.
