Boy’s U-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy: Baroda beat Nagaland by an innings and 185 runs

Dimapur, Nov. 26 (EMN): Baroda beat Nagaland by an innings and 185 runs at the Boys’s U-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy pre quarter-final match at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Cricket Stadium in Amtar.

An update from Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) informed that Nagaland after winning the toss and electing to bat first were bundled out for just 56 runs in 22 overs in the first innings.

Yugandhar scored 34 runs for Nagaland.

Mann Naik of Baroda took six wickets.

Baroda scored a massive 374 runs all out in 109 overs in the first innings with Rajvirsinh and Bhavishya scoring 97 and 91 runs respectively.

Rohan took four wickets for Nagaland while Khrievitso, Sujal, and Sarthak chipped in with two wickets apiece.

In the second innings, Nagaland was all out for 133 runs in 32.5 overs.

Sujal scored 51 runs for Nagaland while Yugandhar and Khrievitso chipped in with 33 and 27 runs.

Mann Naik took four wickets for Baroda while Priyanshu took three wickets.

Result: Baroda won by an innings and 185 runs.

The NCA also added stated that the Cooch Behar U-19 multiday match between Goa and Nagaland will be played at the NCA Stadium in Sovima from November 29 to December 2. The match will start from 8.30 am daily and invited all cricket lovers to witness the match.
