DIMAPUR — A total of 10 boys in Tobu village under Mon district have successfully undergone skill development training in weaving bamboo stools which was held from July 29 to August 14.
The skill development training was organised by the Child Protection Committee of Tobu village under the aegis of Development Authority of Nagaland (DAN). An update the Child Protection Committee stated that the training was conducted for school drop-out students in two batches at Tobu village guest house.
It stated that a valedictory programme was held on August 14 to felicitate the trainees and trainer. During the programme, the committee members have appreciated all the trainees for their active participation and urged upon them to exhibit their skill towards creating productive inputs. The committee also lauded trainer, S Chungma, for his voluntary service in guiding the trainees under his strict supervision.
Meanwhile, the Child Protection Committee extended its gratitude to the Tobu village council for the financial support towards the smooth conduct of the training.
The committee chairman and secretary have acknowledged all the individuals and village functionaries for their moral support and cooperation towards the successful conduct of the programme.
