Boy found in mysterious condition dies in Mkg

Mokokchung, June 27: A fifteen year old boy, who was reportedly found mysteriously lying in a steep road at Dilong ward with severe injury, died on the way to Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as fifteen years old Ledang, son of Tating from Pongyu village of Tuensang district. He was reportedly residing with an Ao family at Alempang Ward, Mokokchung.

Police, on Monday, said local residents informed the police about the boy lying on the road in a mysterious condition, who was later taken him to hospital. It was a time when most of the people, who attended the Church Sunday service, were retiring to their homes.

In this connection, the Khiamniungan Union Mokokchung had also file a FIR at Mokokchung Police Station- I urging the police for thorough investigation on the matter.

Autopsy was conducted on Sunday by Mokokchung Chief Medical Officer, Dr. SS Akaba Longchar, along with his colleague and Deputy CMO of Mokokchung, which later found out that the deceased cervical bone was fractured.

Dr. SS Akaba Longchar assumed that the dead might be cause by accident but could not pinpoint the accurate conclusion.

The deceased has been taken to his native village for burial on Sunday and the Mokokchung police are currently investigating the case.
