Phira M releases the book ‘A comprehensive book on Nagaland’ at Achievers Academy in Dimapur on October 7.

Dimapur, Oct. 8 (EMN): With an objective to share knowledge and awareness about the Nagas, a book titled ‘A comprehensive book on Nagaland’ written by Phira M was launched at Achievers Academy, Dimapur, on October 7.

Speaking at the book release programme, the author stated that, ”We are fond of calling ourselves Nagas with heads held high but sadly, we know very little about ourselves”.

According to him, the book contains ‘everything one needs to know about the Nagas and Nagaland’ right from the Nagas’ migratory period till the present Indo-Naga political talks and Nagas’ assertion for freedom. He added that the book covers a broad spectrum on various topics such as Naga history, Nagaland geography, economy, Naga polity, miscellaneous topics, festivals, and important Naga personalities.

In addition to the book, another supplementary book on the state titled ‘Nagaland Encyclopaedia’ was also released. The author stated that both the books perfectly complement each other.

The author cleared the NPSC examination in 2019 and is currently serving as Inspector of Excise. He began the work in the month of August in 2018.

The author stated that the books are a must-have for all the Nagas and each Naga household especially scholars, students, teachers, and the target group, the civil service aspirants. He added that the books would give an upper hand to those preparing for NPSC.
