[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he organisers of Farhan Live Concert is back again with another event ‘The Bollywood Rock Concert’ in aid of Rhino Conservation. On January 3, Guwahati is all set to witness one of a kind Bollywood Rock Concert with performances by Bollywood singers Ash King and Jonita Gandhi while Hindi-Rock band The Local Train from Delhi will be sharing the stage with them.
Ash King is known for his songs like ‘I Love You’ from Bodyguard, ‘TeAmo’ from ‘Dum Maaro Dum’, ‘Aunty Ji’ from ‘Ek Main AurEkkTu’ and ‘Meherbaan’ from ‘Bang Bang’. Jonita Gandhi,an Indo-Canadian singer, is known for her beautiful covers on YouTube and the title track of the super-hit film ‘Chennai Express’. As this is a Bollywood Rock Concert, rock band ‘The Local Train’ from Delhi will be playing their hit songs which have been widely appreciated by music lovers across the country.
A percentage of the ticket sales will be donated in aid of Rhino Conservation. Between 2012 -2014, more than 60 rhinos have been hunted for their horns, skin and nails as they have very high demand in the Asian traditional medicine market. Although efforts have been made to conserve their declining population, there is still a long way to go. The event has a tie-up with ‘Aranyak’ as the knowledge partner and apart from donating a percentage of the ticket sales in aid of Rhino Conservation, the event will also felicitate some grass-root level personalities who have gone the distance to do their bit in conserving the pride of Assam.
This one-of-a-kind event will not only enthral music lovers in Guwahati but will also give people an opportunity to do their part towards Rhino Conservation.
The event is organised by Guwahati based event management organisation Tattva Creations Pvt Ltd.
