Dimapur, Aug. 18 (EMN): Embarking on a mission that women should be self dependent, Dimapur Blue Vanda Lions Club, in association with the Hindu Sewa Samiti, inaugurated a vocational training centre in Chatteswari Durgabari on August 17.
The centre would provide training to women and girls of the colony on cutting, stitching and knitting, the club stated in an update. It hoped that the skills learned from the centre would enable them find as a source of daily income in future.
The inaugural programme was held under the presidentship of Saraswati Sharma in presence of Gopal Sharma, president of Hindu Sewa Samiti, and the 1st vice governor of Lions District 322D, Lalita Khadaria.
