DIMAPUR — Blessed Bonding, in collaboration with Künri, conducted a seminar on “Understanding behaviour from a compassionate lens: Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and autism” at Künri on April 25.
According to an update, the initiative was aligned with the observance of Autism Acceptance and Awareness Month in April.
Künri, derived from the Rengma term meaning “hope”, is an early intervention centre located in proximity to the Dimapur Airport. The centre specialises in multidisciplinary interventions for children presenting with developmental delays, offering structured therapeutic and educational services.

The primary objective of the seminar was to sensitise parents and educators to the principles and practical applications of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). ABA is an evidence-based intervention grounded in behavioural psychology that focuses on the systematic analysis and modification of observable behaviours.
The session highlighted how ABA methodologies can be utilised to enhance adaptive functioning, including life skills acquisition, communication, and social interaction competencies in children with developmental challenges.
During the seminar, Beni Seb, proprietor of Künri, highlighted the critical role of compassion-driven pedagogy in behavioural interventions.
She underscored that ABA is not merely a therapeutic tool for children with developmental disorders but a generalised behavioural framework applicable across populations for goal-orientated behaviour modification.
