In her brief speech during the programme, the secretary of the BJP Chambeni referred to the “current political scenario” in the state. She said that the BJP in Nagaland was “getting popular among the Nagas,” the press release claimed, quoting her speech.

“After being in the party for five years, she feels that the good days are coming. She further deliberates on the stand of the party that, BJP being a political party is just doing its best for the overall development of the society. She also encourages and urged the party workers of the Mandal to cope with time and situation and catch up with the rest of the country.”
Also, Dr. Tasile N Zeliang, president of the BJMM of Peren district addressing the gathering. Dr. Zeliang stressed on the ‘emergence of the BJP in other states of the country.’ She said that “so many anti BJP activists in Nagaland had been trying to tarnish the image of BJP through different channels and social media to stop the party from coming to power in the state,” the press release stated. She urged the people of the area to ‘come out of the aged old conservative mindset and embrace changes to prosper in the development of the area,’ the press release stated.
Likewise, Khiubangdi Chawang, spokesperson of the Nagaland BJP, expressed dismay at the ‘slow pace of development of Tening, citing the poor road condition of Tening,’ according to the press release.
‘Being one of the worst, he said that, it is the longest running unrepaired road in Nagaland. He also pointed out the pathetic road condition of Tening town saying it is in a shameful state,’ the press release stated. ‘Further Chawang urged the people to know how to differentiate between religions and political party and help in bringing the BJP to power because it is the only party committed to provide overall development.’
The BJP functionary highlighted the 10-point ‘party strategy for initiating party movement,’ the updates said.
Another BJP leader, Ester Bano, secretary of the BJP Nagaland, addressed the programme. She said that the state’s BJP unit was ‘fully in support of all the districts but Peren district is considered in the special category as the founder of BJP is from Peren district.’ She appealed to the party workers to gear up and support “the full time workers in their village to village touring program for speedy formation of booth level committee and to work out in 10 point of BJP strategy,” the press release stated.
Also, Kuputo Shohe, vice president of the BJP Nagaland and the official in-charge of Peren district, urged the party’s workers to mobilize the people on the ‘ideology and strategy of the BJP in their respective villages and areas.’ He assured the “best possible help” to the party’s workers in ‘bringing up its own BJP MLA in both the mandals.’ Shohe claimed that the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was “seriously committed in bringing the development to the area.”
In his address, Ananta Narayan Mishra expressed ‘sadness over the condition of the area, citing poor pace of development, lack of proper electricity, telephone connectivity, and roads etc.’
“However with state general election round the corner, he said, people will see the light if BJP is voted to power. In his speech, Mishra said that people used to make fun of BJP during its initial days, and the same is happening in Nagaland now,” the press release stated.
“Oppositions are raising unwanted rumours and propaganda to disgrace the face of BJP because it is gaining popularity in the state. But, urged the party members to not get carried away by such disgraceful illusions, rather embrace them and propagate the ideology of BJP in them.”
Further, the BJP leader encouraged the people to set ‘high visions because the power lies with the voters and they are ones to bring changes.’ Mishra deliberated also on what the press release termed the ‘power and popularity’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and ‘how the people are recognizing him within and beyond the country.’
More MPs and more constituencies if BJP elected
“Mishra assured that at any cost the party will try to bring the BJP government in the state so as to enable peace and development progress. And, if BJP comes to power in Nagaland, he said that, he and the government will appeal to the central government for Nagaland to have three Members of Parliaments and will raise another two constituency in Peren district (one each for Peren and Tening) and in total of 80 assembly constituencies in Nagaland.’
The press release added that Mishra appealed to the public and to the members of the party to ‘keep check the Illegal Bangladesh Immigrants as its rapidly growing in the north east region specially in Nagaland where all the central scheme of daily needs commodity like rice, sugar, kerosene etc were directly or indirectly benefited by them which is meant for local indigenous people.’
