BJP’s slogan ‘achee din’ turned to ‘bura din,’ says HSDC president

Diphu, May 23 (EMN): The general election campaign of the BJP party with slogan ‘acche din’ (good days), has now turned to bura din (bad days), said president Hill state demand council (HSDC), president, Dr. Mongve Rongpi, during a joint press conference of KSA-Simeon Rongphar and HSDC held at HSDC office in Diphu on May 23 Wednesday.

Dr. Rongpi said that the BJP before coming to power at the centre, they had held a demonstration of price hike of LPG and other essential commodities infront of Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. In that demonstration BJP leaders like Swasma Smita Rani and Arun Jetley took part who blamed the Congress for corruption  and promised the people that if they (BJP) comes to power at the centre, they would bring good days. But it is the reverse now, instead of good days, bad days are ahead for the common people.

HSDC, general secretary Laichan Engleng stated that this in an initial stage of protest by HSDC in hike of price of petrol and diesel. A memorandum will be submitted to DC, Karbi Anglong on the matter, said Engleng.
