BJP’s horde increases with induction of promising former MLA contestant

Dimapur, June 13 (EMN): Former aspirant Sabina Sangma (41) who was the runners up in 2013 MLA elections from Rongjeng in East Garo Hills has joined The Bharaitya Janata Party (BJP) today, adding strength to the Party’s numbers TNT news stated. Sabina, who is a lawyer by profession formally joined the BJP after the meeting celebrating 3 years of ‘Sabka Saath – Sabka Vikash’ in the town of Williamnagar.She narrowly lost the last elections to eventual winner Sengman Marak of Congress from the Rongjeng constituency while standing as an independent candidate. “I decided to join the BJP as I want to work for the development of my people. The party has shown that it is progressive and is serious of the agenda of development and as a part of the BJP I hope to bring the same development to my people,” said Sabina on the reason for joining the saffron party. Sabina joined the party in the presence of national spokesperson Siddhartha Bhattacharya, state secretary SR Marak, state vice president Rikman G Momin, EGH district president – Rakesh Marak, EGH district general secretary – Thomas N Marak as well as state executive member from Phulbari – Binoy Kr Ghosh.
