Dimapur, Dec. 14 (EMN): In an attempt to woo the Naga voters, State BJP has highlighted the concerned of the party at the centre for Nagaland. The party has made particular reference on the long awaited four-lane road between Dimapur and Kohima, which is under implementation.
This was disclosed by the State BJP officials during its second day booth level workers training held at Samator - Chessor, Tuensang Sadar-1, Tuesang Sardar-2 mandals on December 12 under Tuensang district. The training for Tuensang Sadar 1 and 2 was held under the supervision of Ananta Mishra, organisation secretary. The resource persons were Jaangsillung, general secretary, and Yanghose Sangtam, co-convener of BJP Media Cell. The meeting at Samator-Chessor mandal was led by K James Vizo, convener of BJP media cell, and Bandi, party spokesman.
A total of 700 including 230 booth-level workers along with local committee and mandal workers attended the meeting at Samator-Chessor. In the meeting with Tuensang Sadar 1 and 2, a total 600 members attended the programme.
Addressing the meeting, K James Vizo, convener of BJP media cell, said that BJP under the Prime Minister of Narendra Modi has huge concern and love for Nagaland. Referring to the ongoing four lane of Dimapur to Kohima road, Vizo said the same was announced by the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee during his maiden visit to the State in 2003.
He also stated that none of the Prime Minister under UPA regime during their 10 years rule had ever visited the State.
Speaking in the second session, BJP spokesman Bandi highlighted on the schemes and visions of BJP for Nagaland. Atila Sangtam, general secretary BJMM, also highlighted on the importance of woman and the welfare schemes launched by BJP.
The meeting was chaired by district president Thsangse Sangtam and concluded with the singing of national anthem.
