BJP Central Defence Analysis & National Security Cell has strongly condemned the killing of nine Karbi youth and four Rengma Nagas besides burning of houses, reducing granaries to ashes and shattering lives of thousands who have been rendered homeless while saying that such heinous crime on innocent public violates the very notion of peaceful human existence in any society around the world.Describing that the recent development as a ‘total violation of human rights,’ the BJP Security Cell member Yambos Murry has called for immediate cessation of hostility for peaceful co-existence and communal harmony amongst the Karbi and Rengma Naga communities in Karbi Anglong.
BJP Central Defence Analysis & National Security Cell felt that Karbi and Rengma Naga communities must stress on forgiveness, brotherhood and reconciliation at this juncture basing on centuries age old tribal relation.
“The evil forces are dancing happily and it is has become very important between two communities to crush those forces permanently,” the statement implored.
Meanwhile, BJP has condemned the Assam Congress government for totally failing to protect the lives and properties of innocent victims and neglecting law and order situation in Karbi Anglong. It also alleged that many years of Congress rule has totally destroyed the inter-tribal fabric of Assam.
It has also demanded that relief and rehabilitation package be handed over to the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council to ensure that the matters be prudently conducted as it felt that Congress government of Assam is not well equipped to handle the situation.
Further, BJP has assured to thoroughly have consultation with all stakeholders and public bodies for ending all inter-tribal conflict once and for all in Karbi Anglong after BJP led NDA comes to power. It said the nature of political imbroglio and socio-economic disparities would be indepthly analysed adding a long lasting solution would be instituted through mutual understanding and peaceful dialogue.
