Dimapur, June 23 (EMN): Nagaland unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) conducted a one-day workshop on Sangathan Parv membership drive 2019 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur, on June 22 with the participation of all the membership committee members from the State, districts, and district in-charges.
BJP national general secretary (Org.) North East In-charge, Ajay Jamwal, in a keynote address, presented detailed account of the programmes and the target set to be achieved. According to him the membership drive in 2019 would be distinct from the past as it is going to be a short and intensive programme stretching over a period of two months for enrolment of both primary and active members.
The nation-wide membership would be launched on July 6. Anyone can enrol as BJP members by dialling the no. 8980808080 or give a miss call, which would generate a series of verification for old and new enrolments.
The workshop was chaired by Jaangsillung Gonmei, State general secretary and the co-incharge of the State membership committee, while the invocation prayer was said by Attila Phom, State secretary and Longleng district in-charge.
The chairperson highlighted the purpose of the workshop and the State vice president and Tuensang district in-charge, Thsangse Sangtam spoke on membership enrolment efforts. The in-charge of the State membership committee, Er. Longshi Kikon, presented plans, methodology, and schedules of the programme, while Ananta Mishra, secretary (Org.) laid out the targets and the ways to achieve them and encouraged party workers to enrol members as many as possible.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks said by Noklem Konyak, member of State membership committee.
Meanwhile, all the district membership in-charges are asked to submit the names and contact number of three member mandal membership committee to the State membership committee at the earliest and also hold the district membership workshop before June 29.
All mandal membership committees are also asked to constitute booth level committees with minimum 25 members before July 5 with intimation to the district and State membership committees.
