Dimapur, December 21
The BJP Phek District has vehemently condemned the ‘unbecoming action’ of some people taking the name of BJP Phek District for staging a protest rally in Dimapur on December 19. Stating that most of the protestors were not bonafide BJP members, BJP Phek District president Eduzu Theluo, in a release on Sunday, said most of them are ‘a student's self employed and imposters’. Therefore, BJP Phek District has nothing to do with their protest rally, the release said.
Also, stating that there are party norms and mechanisms to address any grievances internally and not in public, the BJP Phek said therefore, such unconstitutional action of irresponsible people does not in any way reflect the party's inner democratic norms. “Anyone working outside the party's mainstream could not be construed as dispute in the party,” the release said.
“Therefore, BJP Phek District unequivocally disowns the entire process of unconstitutional action of those people on 19th Dec 2014,” the release said while warning that the party will take strong disciplinary action against those signatories of the memorandum.
BJP Phek District also appealed to the state unit to take drastic disciplinary action against those state/national level members found to be indulging in such anti-party activities.
“BIP Phek District stands by the leadership of the state BJP president,” the release asserted while also extending its unstinted support towards him.
