Dimapur, Dec. 18 (EMN): The Nagaland Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has organised 11 booth-level training programmers in Tuensang, Longleng, Wokha and Mokokochung district from Dec. 11 to the 16th.
On Dec. 16, led by former state BJP president, Dr. M Chuba Ao and state general secretary, Jaangsillung Gongmei, the party conducted a training programme at 30 Alongtaki mandal with about 230 booth-level workers.
At Tuli the training was conducted led by Vice President Tasepi Sangtam; Secretary K Thong; convener for media cell K James Vizo and co-convener Yanghose. 375 workers were trained during the event.
Addressing the party’s workers during the event Secretary K Thong highlighted the BJP-led NDA government’s flagship programmes and schemes.
Referring to the charge that BJP was an anti-Christian party, the group’s media cell co-convener Yanghose claimed it to be ‘only rival’s propaganda which is all baseless allegations with political ill-motive to tarnish the image of party.’
He went as far as to claim that “if BJP is anti-Christian party, than how comes external Union Minister Sushmaji role in rescuing Fr. Tom Uzhunnalil, a Christian priest from Kerala who was abducted by the ISIS in Yemen.”
Highlighting the ‘vision documents’ of the Nagaland BJP, Vice President Tasepi Sangtam said that if the party comes to power it will give ‘top priority to road connectivity in the state by making two lanes in all the district headquarters and 50 senior citizens from Nagaland will be selected every year and will be sent to visit the Holy Land, Jerusalem.
Also, media cell official K James Vizo said during the event that the people of Mokokchung district were ‘fortunate to be socially, economically, politically more advanced as compared to others.’ He claimed that the BJP’s top agenda was to ‘bring changes to the state through development.’
‘Many parties has come and gone but could not deliver the goods to our State due to defective system in their house,’ he said. “Today in Nagaland, development is hardly visible and corruption is at its peak.”
