Addressing the inaugural programme at the town hall, the chairman of the finance and development committee of state’s BJP, Temjen Imna Along and member of the party’s state executive committee Imjong Longkumer, claimed that the BJP ‘works within the constitution of India’ and that ‘It is not against any religion.’ They claimed further that it ‘fights against corruption, and sincerely works for progress and development.’
