DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 18
As part of the ‘national protest’ against JNU’s ‘anti national slogans’, the BJP Nagaland has launched the state wide protest programme in every district head quarters. The state president, Visasolie Lhoungu has directed all the district presidents to immediately hold protest meetings in their respective district headquarters along with the rest of the nation by February 20 and submit their reports to him accordingly. Photos of the protest meetings should also be attached with their reports, a BJP Nagaland unit said in a statement.
The president has condemned such ‘anti- national motives’ and slogans specially within the campus of a premier institute where future leaders are moulded and has asked the right minded citizens to equally condemn such acts, the statement said. “At a time when the country was facing hurdles to defend its integrity and take the nation forward economically and equally in all over the country including the remotest corners like Nagaland, such anti-national motives are unwelcome developments,” it added. The BJP statement also said that ‘anti-national’ activities are counter- productive and should be condemned and rejected by the citizens timely.
