EMN Dimapur, February 21 BJP Nagaland expressed dismay over the ‘anti-national slogans’ purportedly raised during the Arts and Cultural meet of students at Sabarmati Dhaba in JNU campus along with outsiders on February 9, which it said had sent a strong condemnable message across the country. The BJP said, intellectual liberty cannot be misused as a platform to destabilize the nation nor non-campus anti-national political elements be allowed to sham the intellectual integrity and reputation of institutes. General Secretary, BJP Nagaland Media, Jaangsillung Gonmei in a statement said, while intellectual debates and discussion is a healthy ingredient of an evolving concept of democracy, inappropriate ‘slogans’ can be misconstrued as a political statement and a manipulative device and thus the consequent condemnation. Meanwhile, National Secretary and Nagaland In-charge (Prabhari) Farooq Khan, State President Visasolie Lhoungu and office bearers lauded the cooperation and support received in condemning the JNU’s anti-national slogans.
