BJP Nagaland congratulates PDA government for completing three years in office
Dimapur, March 8 (EMN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland state unit on Monday congratulated People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) government led by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy CM Y Patton for completing three years in office.
A press note issued by BJP state unit president Temjen Imna Along stated that the journey has been challenging but the PDA government has not shied away from responsibilities entrusted by the people through their precious mandate and has been delivering the goods to the citizens.
“These last 3 (Three) years saw Nagaland and its people in challenging situations – such as the excessive rains that wreaked havoc in 2018 and the global Covid-19 pandemic which brought the world to its knees. Throughout these tumultuous times, the PDA government remained grounded and committed to its common minimum programme; and focused on the emergencies at hand,” the note read, adding that it is responsive to the challenges ahead and won’t waver in working for the welfare of the people.
It also lauded the NDPP led by Chingwang Konyak, Independent legislator Tongpang Ozukum, members of BJP state unit and the opposition Naga People’s Front (NPF).
“During this moment of celebration, we sincerely appreciate the Opposition NPF led by the Hon’ble Leader of Opposition Shri TR Zeliang who joined hands with the Government in reaching out to the people, cutting across party lines, when the pandemic was at its raging height. The grim pandemic situation also brought out the beauty of politics and democracy whereby everyone, irrespective of affiliations or ideologies, worked together for the common well-being of the people,” the note read.
The party also lauded the Church, NGOs, CSOs, Tribal Hohos and other who have been working tirelessly in various capacities towards a final solution to the protracted Naga political issue and well as various Naga political groups engaged in the peace process with GoI.
While maintaining that the party will continue to work tirelessly to fulfil its commitments to the people, it made a clarion call to all to ‘reap the benefits of the BJP-led NDA Government’s mantra “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas” (Together With All, Development For All, Trust of All)’.
