The State BJP clarified that both the BJP members of DAN Coordination Committee did not attend the Democratic Alliance Nagaland (DAN) meeting held at Kohima on January 19, 2015 since both were out of station. “Therefore, the question of BJP support does not arise,” it said in a statement. The party reiterated that all its four BJP MLAs are intact in the party line and are stationed in Delhi for further consultations with the party higher ups.
“It is unfortunate that the internal crisis of NPF is still continuing unresolved for two weeks. As far as the change of leadership is concern, the party is of the view that there is nothing wrong as long as it is resolved democratically,” the statement said.
As a concerned alliance partner of DAN, BJP Nagaland urged upon the major partner NPF, to straighten their house in order, since people are confused with two parallel bodies and two presidents, it added.
On the alleged money transfer issue, the party expressed its serious concern and at the same time appreciates the Chief Minister TR Zeliang for welcoming any national investigation agency to probe into this matter. “Therefore, the party appeals to the honorable Governor to recommend for CBI investigation at the earliest,” it appealed.
BJP Nagaland then made it very clear that it will not be part of any government that takes the help of the Congress to form the Government.
“Meanwhile, as strictly directed by the party high command, the party would like to caution the party workers not to indulge in siding any group or lobbying around in the Capital Delhi. Any party member defiling the party directive will be dealt with seriously,” the statement cautioned.
