Dimapur, Nov. 12 (EMN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of Nagaland has expressed sadness at the demise of senior BJP leader and Union Minister Ananth Kumar who passed away at a hospital in Bengaluru on Nov. 12.
A condolence message from the unit stated that Kumar was suffering from lung cancer and had returned from the United States last month after treatment in New York.
The party said in a condolence message that he will be remembered as “people’s leader, a veteran parliamentarian and a supreme organiser.” The message stated that Kumar had been accessible to the common man and was a hardworking member of the Parliament.
The party’s unit along with its president, Temjen Imna Along, conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the Almighty God would grant solace to the bereaved loved ones, and that the departed soul will rest in peace.
