BJP Mokokchung unit forms committee to promote government programmes

Dimapur — The Bharatiya Janata Party’s 27 Mokokchung Town Mandal has constituted a social outreach committee with the objective of bringing the programmes and policies of the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA), in which the BJP is a major alliance partner, to the grassroots level in the mandal.

The committee was unanimously formed at its monthly executive meeting held on July 15.

According to mandal general secretary Pranab Singh, the formation of the committee fulfils the long-felt aspiration of party members to serve the people in alignment with the BJP’s slogan of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ (Together with all, Development for all).

According to a press note issued by the party, in the upcoming months, the committee will devise various programmes and implement them in a phased manner. Also, it will collaborate with different government agencies, like-minded NGOs, and individuals with the specific aim of taking different government schemes to the grassroots.

Lanusunep, president of the mandal, expressed hope that the initiative will be successful, not only because the government’s policies prioritise the people but also because the citizens of the mandal are well-educated and proactive when it comes to the welfare of the people.

The mandal has appointed Bendangmeren (state council member) as the convener of the committee, with Bendangyanger (BJP district secretary) and Lanusunep as co-conveners. Singh and Temsunungla (mandal secretary) have been appointed as the member secretary and assistant member secretary, respectively. Additionally, five committee members were also appointed.
