Dimapur, Nov. 30 (EMN): BJP Mokokchung district undertook a tour of 26 Aonglenden assembly constituency and held a programme at Nature Park in Ungma village on November 29.
An update from BJP Mokokchung stated that a host of party leaders led by the district president, Imolemba Jamir, and his colleagues, officials from the different morchas and mandals also attended by the programme.
In his keynote address, Imolemba Jamir encouraged the karyakartas to work tirelessly for the party and the people. Stating that Naga people wanted ‘solution’ to the Indo-Naga political problem above anything else, he, however, encouraged party workers to be prepared if the elections were to be held as scheduled.
He also highlighted the different programmes initiated by the Narendra Modi government and urged the karyakartas to take those programmes to the grassroots. In this regard, he encouraged the karyakartas to create awareness among the masses and form self help groups for the benefit of the people.
The district kisan morcha president, Tiayanger Jamir, in his exhortation, highlighted about the different programmes introduced by the NDA government for the farmers and urged the karyakartas to encourage the farmers in the district to avail the programme.
Others who spoke at the programme were district vice president and 26 Aonglenden mandal in-charge, I Lanutoshi Longkumer; district general secretary (Org), Tsukjemwati; and district minority morcha president, Rongsenyanger Aier.
A BJP full-time worker, Aonukshi, has highlighted certain ground works to be done by the mandal especially with regard to filling of booth level workers for the upcoming elections.
The meeting was chaired by the president of 26 Aonglenden mandal mahila, Rongsenlemla, while the welcome address was delivered by the mandal president, Taliwati Pongen.
