BJP Mokokchung Kisan Morcha appoints new office bearers

DIMAPUR — The Kisan Morcha of BJP Mokokchung appointed its new office bearers for its current tenure on Monday. Tiawati, Arishilu, and Rongsenwati were appointed as vice presidents, while Tiajungla was appointed as general secretary (Org.) and Lanumeren as secretary. The appointment letters were signed and handed over by the Kisan Morcha president, Rongsenyanger, under the leadership of BJP Mokokchung president S Bendang Aier, according to an update.

Peren DC reviews Lok Sabha poll preparations

DIMAPUR — In connection with the Lok Sabha elections, DC and DEO Peren, Vineet Kumar, convened a meeting with various nodal officers on Monday. During the meeting, Kumar emphasised the ongoing preparation plans and strategies with the nodal officers for the successful conduct of the election. Additionally, he reviewed other preparation plans, including manpower status, transport plans, training management, postal ballot management, EVM management, and media management.

LATC grateful for construction of roads

DIMAPUR — The Longchem Adhoc Town Committee (LATC), on behalf of all the residents of Longchem town, has expressed gratitude to the department of Tribal Affairs led by Advisor H Tovihoto Ayemi for successfully constructing the internal roads in Longchem town. In a press release, the LATC also informed that the ongoing construction of Liangmen Bridge is also under the initiative of the same department. The committee further thanked the Minister of Tourism and Higher Education, Temjen Imna Along, under whose initiative a community hall was successfully constructed at Longchem town.

Meeting on media-related matters scheduled

DIMAPUR — In light of the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections, a meeting regarding media-related matters is scheduled for March 20 at the conference hall of the Commissioner and Returning Officer’s Office, commencing at 12 pm. All concerned parties have been urged to send one representative each to the meeting.

Sümi Youth Organisation launch on March 27

DIMAPUR — The Sümi Hoho announced the launching programme for the “Sümi Youth Organisation,” followed by a felicitation programme and the Sümi Hoho executive meeting on March 27 at 10 am at Sümi Hoho Ki, Zunheboto. The Sümi Hoho has invited all its executive committee members, the nominated executive committee members of the Sümi Youth Organisation, the newly elected office bearers of the Sümi Kükami Hoho, and the Sümi Kiphimi Küqhakulu to attend the programme.
