The Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP) Nagaland has organized the enrolment drive in Tuensang led by its membership enrolment Convener , Yanghose Sangtam and accompanied by State BJYM President K.Kahoto Chishi and Spokesman K.James Vizo on March 26.Speaking at the programme, district BJP president, Yangba Chang, said that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with development programme as its top agenda especially for North East in general and Nagaland state in particular was displayed by his visit to the state.
He also said that, the enrolment in the district has crossed 5000 members and many more are wiling to join the party.
Speaking at the meeting, Yanghose said BJP is cadre base party and members are not leaders but party workers. Any person above the age of 18 years can enroll in the party irrespective of ones professions. He said that, to be office bearers in the Mandal and district committee, one has to be an active member and for which one has to enroll 100 members has primary members. Yanghose also said that, unlike other political party, BJP is a people’s party, the grass root people can participate in the governance, and it’s the party that runs the government.
Others who spoke in the meeting were former BJP candidate Smt. Rhakila, State BJYM president K.Kahoto Chishi and District BJP President Yanba Chang.
The meeting was attended by various district frontal committees, BJYM, BJMM, Mandals District office bearers and senior party members.
