Dimapur, June 14 (EMN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) claims that it will fight forces that are keeping Nagaland backward.
Referring to the party’s mantra for ‘good governance, progress of the state and development,’ MLA Mmhonlumo Kikon spoke at the official inauguration of the MODI (Making Of Developed India) Fest on Wednesday in the Town hall of Dimapur. The event was organised to highlight the policies, welfare and other initiatives undertaken by the NDA government since it came to power three years ago.
Taking a jibe at the former UPA government, the legislator remarked that since the time the NDA government came into power under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country including Nagaland had been witnessing development ‘in the form of 4-lane road-even in the midst of all political vested interests.’

Modi’s pledge to write off corruption has developed into a reality through National Investigation Agency (NIA), Income Tax department and Central Vigilance Commission interventions to address governmental corruption which was unfamiliar in the state, articulated Kikon.
Filing RTI has become a trend which is limited only within the court with no actions added the BJP legislator.
Also he confided that in the month of March 2017, a sum of Rs. 5 crore was sanctioned for maintenance of City Tower road Dimapur, however till date no work has been materialised.
“BJP has been responsive towards peoples’ misery and the party will deliver what we promise at your doorstep” affirmed the legislator. Also Kikon stated that PM Modi is ‘serious about bringing peace in the state’.
The BJP’s state President Visasolie Lhoungu said in his welcome address that the objective of the programme was to communicate on the occasion of completion of three years in office by the central government, to disseminate the government schemes initiated by the government to every citizen in every nook and corner of the country as well as provide platform for the people to avail the facilities as required.
The MODI fest will showcase NDA Government’s achievements in last three years under PM Modi’s leadership.
