DIMAPUR — The president of BJP Nagaland and co-chairman of the PDA coordination committee, Benjamin Yepthomi, on Monday declared the party’s ‘unreserved and all-out’ support to the NDPP candidate for 43 Tapi Assembly Constituency, Wangpang Konyak.

He described Konyak as ‘PDA’s official candidate’ while campaigning for the bye-election on Monday at Lampong Sheanghah, Mon.

Giving a brief history of the NDPP-BJP alliance, he said that the PDA government provided Nagaland with stable governance and carried out all-round accelerated development with the full support of the centre.

As a result, he claimed, Nagaland has witnessed ‘a new era of economic growth and positive developmental activities as never seen before, with the prevalence of a peaceful environment’ guided by the common minimum programme of the alliance.

He added that the state government has also served as a facilitator in the peace process and that serious efforts are still being made by the state and the Government of India to find a peaceful solution through the ongoing political dialogue.

He stated that the BJP Nagaland will continue to work to strengthen the alliance to carry out the programmes and policies of the centre under the ‘double engine government’.

Furthermore, he urged every BJP member in 43 Tapi A/C to fully support Wangpang Konyak in the upcoming election.
