BJP Chizami vows to uphold NDPP-BJP alliance

Dimapur, May 25 (EMN): The 17 Chizami mandal of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has resolved to uphold the pre-poll alliance of NDPP and BJP in letter and spirit to strengthen the leadership of the chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, and the deputy chief minister, Y Patton. The resolution to this effect was taken during its meeting with the village unit office bearers and senior party workers on May 24 at Sakraba town hall. The meeting was convened in view of the ensuing Lok Sabha by-election scheduled on May 28. In a press release, the unit general secretary Khrope Tsuhah stated that the members have resolved to strive and work cohesively for the betterment of the constituency and the party interest under the competent leadership of its state president Visasolie Lhoungu. Besides, the house also resolved to work unitedly for the success of PDA candidate, Tokheho Yepthomi, in the ensuing Lok Sabha by-election to strengthen the PDA and NDA governments. The house further reaffirmed unflinching support to the visionary leadership of Kevechutso Doulo, former BJP candidate and state executive members. Also speaking on the occasion, its former candidate Kevechutso Doulo exuded confidence that PDA government under the leadership of the chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, would bring all round development in the state. He has urged the party men to uphold the party principle and work wholeheartedly for the success of PDA candidate Tokheho Yepthomi in the ensuing Lok Sabha by-election.
