Dimapur, September 17: State BJP president, Visasolie Lhoungu said there is nothing more satisfying than rendering service to the helpless and poor people. He said this while addressing the party workers at the party head office, Dimapur, on the occasion of 66th birth anniversary of the Union Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, on September 17.
He also conveyed best wishes to Narendra Modi for further success and greater achievement in his life.
To mark the day, BJP organised a special sweet distribution programme to the in-patients of the District Hospital, Dimapur.
Narendra Modi was born in 1950 to a family of low Ghanchi caste in Vidnagar, Gujarat. He rose from the status of a tea seller son to that of a Prime Minister of the nation. Modi father ran a tea shop at Vidnagar Rail station, where Modi used to help his father in running the shop during day time and attended school in the evening. After struggling for many years, his political ambition got boosted in 1987, when he was appointed as the in-charge to oversee BJP in Gujarat. Under his charge, BJP gained political centre stage in Gujarat. In 1995, the guidelines laid out by Modi in the campaign were considerable for the victory of BJP in Gujarat Assembly election. His leadership skill and his acumen as a politician got recognised by the nation when he was appointed as 14th Prime Minister of India.
