BJP National Executive member Tapir Gao has arrived in Imphal today as a national observer for the coming Autonomous District Council (ADC) elections to be held on June 1.Immediately after arriving in Imphal, Tapir Gao headed towards Chandel where he attended a public meeting as a campaign programme of the coming ADC elections. The campaign, which was organised by BJP State general secretary Yonglet Haokip, was also attended by BJP Manipur Pradesh president Th Chaoba and other party leaders.
Moreover, the leaders decided to hold an array of such meetings to attain sweeping victory of BJP in the ADC elections.
It may be reminded that 337 persons have applied for their candidature from BJP ticket.
Yesterday, a meeting on the theme ’Freedom From Congress’ was held at BJP Manipur Pradesh office, chaired by president Th Chaoba. Many leaders of BJP Manipur from areas under ADC attended the meeting. Those attended decided to teach a lesson to the ‘bad’ governance of Congress government by winning in all ADC seats, and to fulfil the wishes and objectives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
