[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has scored one point over the Congress party or the Indian National Congress (INC) when comes to a debate on who is more democratic between the two arch rival parties. The dynastical functioning of the Nehru-Gandhi family in running the Congress party has been the talking point for a long time now but the party is not perturbed by the this criticism. When Rahul Gandhi took over the baton to lead the party in the last Lok Sabha poll it was nothing but the act of dynasty-in-the-working. Otherwise Rahul Gandhi does not merit for a leader of such a big national party. There is nothing to back Rahul Gandhi to claim that he has done something and that he is qualified to lead the party. He is just another regular man. Lok Sabha MP from Bihar Om Prakash Yadav was right when he said the Congress party is nothing but a party of dynasty. He also said that the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre has been upholding ‘true’ democracy in the country where an ordinary person from the Northeast region can also become the Prime Minister.
The MP from Bihar was taking part in the mass enrolment campaign for Sekmai Mandal of BJP Manipur along with party’s president Th Chaoba and executive members.
He said the Bharatiya Janata Party has been upholding democracy unlike the Congress which has been taking keen interest in espousing the Gandhi family.
Yadav said BJP believes in sustaining a true democratic government so that an ordinary person from anywhere in India can also become the Prime Minister of the country.
The Congress leaders ranging from senior leader of the party Kapil Sibal to younger leader like Manish Tiwari have been giving their best of reasons on the matter but there are no listeners to their lectures. Congress is Gandhi and Gandhi is Congress. This tag will not disappear as long as the party survives. In any case, the Congress party can never be called a democratic party. And when such party rules the decision and policy making will concentrate in the family circle.
