DIMAPUR — The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) 39 Sanis Assembly Constituency (AC) mandal office-cum-Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan was inaugurated at Sanis 39 AC Mandal, Wokha, on Thursday.
According to an update, Rhanbemo Odyuo, president of BJP Wokha, inaugurated the new office and, in his address, congratulated the 39 Sanis AC Mandal for establishing its office despite challenges and financial constraints.
Odyuo emphasised the importance of hard work and dedication, citing the example of Pius Lotha, a pioneer of the BJP in Nagaland who contested the MP election in the 1990s from Lakhuti village, 39 Sanis AC Mandal. He also highlighted the achievements of Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, who has been contesting from 37 AC and has “brought development to all the constituencies”.
He expressed hope that one day a BJP candidate from this constituency would achieve victory and urged members to work harder and not be complacent, adding that BJP has many activities lined up, and following state and national initiatives would help strengthen their leadership skills.
Senior BJP Wokha Vice President Nongothung Kikon underlined the importance of understanding the BJP’s guidelines and working system. He urged party karyakartas to commit themselves to the betterment of society and take responsibility with sincerity.

Nzano P Kikon, deputy chairperson, Wokha Town Council, expressed appreciation for the successful establishment of the office despite the constituency not having its own legislator. The BJP Wokha unit extended special gratitude to L Zaremo Kikon, convenor of the State Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan, for his support in making the programme successful.
