Dimapur, Dec 27: A newly renovated community centre of St. Francis de Sales Parish at Merhülietsa Colony (Paramedical), Kohima, was blessed and inaugurated by the Bishop of Kohima, Rev. Dr. James Thoppil, on December 21 in the presence of large gathering of the parish members.
Rochus Chasie, chaired the programme, while the opening prayer was said by Philip Kent and the scripture was read by Sebastian Humtsoe. Mrs. Ruokuoheü Roselyn delivered short report on land and house acquisition which was allotted by the government of Nagaland. Leo was thanked and acknowledged for the negotiated amicable settlement.
SFS kids choir sang beautifully and gave a spiritual air to the function. Rev. Fr. Alex Vizo, parish priest, thanked all the members present especially the land search committee and the parish pastoral council members for the great effort and sacrifice they put in for the acquisition and renovation of the building.
Rev. Fr. Joseph Kath, assistant parish priest, said the closing prayer.
