Imphal, Oct 12 (EMN):
Manipur Chief Minister, Nongthombam Biren Singh, today launched ‘CM Da Haisi’ (Let’s convey to CM), a mega citizen engagement initiative for people of Manipur to directly connect with the chief minister via helpline number (95347 95347).

The launching function was held at the chief minister’s official secretariat in Imphal attended by Manipur agriculture and tourism minister, O Lukhoi, deputy speaker K Robindro, MLAs P Sarat and H Dingo.

Speaking on the occasion, Biren Singh said the new initiative was taken up considering the necessity to address the public grievances after the prevailing Covid-19 situation, which prevented holding of monthly public meetings such as ‘Meeyamgi Numit’ (People’s Day) or Hill Leaders Day etc in the state.

Stating that through the platform ‘CM Da Haisi’ every citizen of the state could directly connect with the chief minister and freely shared their grievances and suggestions, Biren said, “CM Da Haisi aims to reach and engage with atleast 50% households in Manipur in the next two months.”

To accomplish this, a dedicated task force has been formed and started functioning in a mission-mode and they would record the problems and suggestions daily from 8 am to 8 pm and attempt to resolve them at earliest, he said adding that the main objective of the campaign was to improve citizen’s participation and engagement by providing a platform.

Highlighting the important achievements of the government mission in the last four and half years, he observed that emotional integration and confidence building among the people in the hill and valley in the state has improved after the introduction of ‘Go to Hills’ mission.
