Dimapur, Sep. 13 (EMN): A biography on Rev. Dr. K Imo Aier titled “Khristar Walunir Ka,” authored by Tiala Imchen was released by the chief editor of Tir Yimyim, K Temjen Jamir, at the residence of Rev. Dr. K Imo Aier on September 13.
Speaking on the occasion, Tiala Imchen informed that the plan to release the book earlier was delayed due to the lockdown. Imchen was of the view that the book would be of great asset and a blessing for the future generation as well as informative especially for those who are in the process of writing a thesis.
Imchen also expressed delight in writing the biography of a reverend.
The biography on Rev. Dr. K Imo Aier “Khristar Walunir Ka” is the seventh book written by Imchen.
Also speaking at the book launch programme, Temjen Jamir described Rev. Dr. K Imo Aier as a pioneer and a powerful leader in the field of missionary work, who has worked at national and international levels. He stated that Aier was ahead of his time and took bold steps as a leader that no Naga had ever taken before.
Jamir also shared about the past stories and achievement of Aier, who not only spread the gospel in India but abroad as well.
Profile of K Imotemjen Aier
An octogenarian, K Imotemjen Aier was born on May 5, 1931, at Longjang village. He did his Bachelor of Theology (B.Th) degree at ETC, Jorhat in Assam, and graduated in 1957. He went on to pursue higher studies and completed a Bachelor of Divinity degree in 1961 from Serampore Theological College.
In 1974, he completed MA (Missiology) from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, USA.
In 1967, Rev. Aier was appointed as general secretary of the Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India (CBCNEI). Since then, he has been actively involved in mission works both at the national and international levels.
