Bihar donates INR 1 cr. to CM’s relief fund

Eastern Mirror Desk Dimapur, Sep. 29: The chief minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, donated INR one cr. to Nagaland chief minister’s relief fund on Saturday. In a message to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Kumar stated: “I am deeply distressed and saddened by tragic loss of lives and large scale damages caused by landslide, and flash floods in Nagaland. I convey heartfelt condolence to all victims and their families on behalf of the people of Bihar.” “No one knows better than the people of Bihar about the miseries caused by natural calamities during flood. I am sending a small contribution of INR 1 cr. from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Bihar for relief and rehabilitation works in landslides and floods affected areas.” Kumar expressed confidence in the leadership of Rio and stated: “I am confident that under your able guidance and leadership, people of Nagaland would recover soon from the losses that they have suffered.” Rio, in his twitter handle, replied to Kumar: “Humbled by the generous gesture made by Hon'ble CM of #Bihar @NitishKumar on #nagalandfloods. The contribution of INR 1 cr. will make a huge difference in rebuilding the lives of flood and landslide victims in the state of #Nagaland. @narendramodi @KirenRijiju @rajnathsingh.”
