Biannual TOLIC meet held at ARTC&S

Dimapur, Sep. 7 (EMN): The second biannual meeting of Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) was held at ARTC&S, Dimapur, on September 6 under the chairmanship of Brig. Arjun Segan, Commandant of ARTC&S with the participation of 54 members of central government offices located in Dimapur.
Lt. Col. Bhavana Sharma, secretary TOLIC, welcomed all members, while briefing on various aspects of the meet was given by Hav. Abhishek of ARTC&S, stated a press release issued by the committee. It added that member representatives from various government offices presented their reports on the progress on implementation of Hindi in their sectors/departments.

Addressing the members, Brig Arjun Segan stressed upon the importance of progressive use of Hindi and requested all members to implement the policies issued by the Government of India regarding publicity and implementation of the official language policy. The chairman also spoke about motivational measures which could be incorporated for implementation of Hindi by means of incentives.

The chairman also applauded the efforts of the members for their continuous efforts towards wide publicity of the official language. Importance of progressive use of Hindi in central government offices was highlighted during the meeting, the statement added.

The rolling TOLIC trophy 2018-19 was given to the office of the Chief Engineer, Sewak Project, while the second and third prizes were given to Central Bank of India, Dimapur Branch, and Food Corporation of India, Regional Office, Dimapur respectively.

Food Corporation of India, District Office, Dimapur; Deputy Inspector General, CRPF, Khatkhati Range; Cement Corporation of India, Bokajan; Deputy Inspector General, Group Centre CRPF, Khatkhati; and Central School Dimapur were also given commendation certificates for their good work in the field of official language implementation.
