Dimapur — Bhadra IAS Academy, a coaching institute for civil service aspirants, on Saturday launched its Dimapur branch at Kai Complex, Sewak Road near Faith Hospital.

The academy’s branch was formally inaugurated by Advisor of Industries and Commerce, Hekani Jakhalu Kense.

Managing director of Bhadra IAS Academy, Mukul Raj Kumar, shared that the academy was established in Assam six years ago and they have four branches in Assam.

He informed that the academy is doing quite well and has so far produced about 1000 civil servants since its inception.

He said since civil service aspirants need quality coaching facilities, they are extending their services to Nagaland.

Hekani Jakhalu in her address expressed hope that the institute will nurture the young people.

Recalling how she worked with young people for 17 years before joining politics, she shared that she used to discourage young people to sit for government exams and how it should not be their first option due to societal pressure.

She said her opinion changed after the constitution of the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB), and now young people have come to know that is the survival of the fittest, that only those who work hard will get through.

Since the unemployed youth have come to realise that they can succeed only through sheer hardwork, many of them are going to different coaching centres to hone their knowledge, Jakhalu said.

She expressed optimism that the result produced by the academy in Assam in a span of six years will also be replicated in Nagaland.

Jakhalu further hoped that the academy’s management will take things seriously and not just run the institute for business sake.

Bito Yepthomi, a civil service aspirant, also expressed gratitude for opening of the academy’s branch in Dimapur.
